The newly designed optical viewfinder of the All New Flagship APS-C model K-3 III provides a 100% field of view and 1.05x image magnification, offering a wide viewing angle comparable to full-frame cameras with increased image brightness due to the improved reflectance of the pentaprism. The viewfinder and the height of the screen are designed to prevent your nose from contacting the camera body, allowing you to look into it more naturally. Equipped with an eye sensor, the image monitor turns off at the same time as looking through the viewfinder, preventing the screen's illumination from affecting visibility during shooting and enabling you to capture images more comfortably.

Continuing the heritage of craftsmanship combined with today's new technologies, the K-3 III is built upon the core principles of passion for photography. Its newly developed mirror, shutter drive mechanism, and image processing engine produce 12 FPS image capture, perfect for fast action and movement. The newly enhanced SAFOX13 AF system expands the AF points to 101, allowing for an increased AF area, faster response, and highly accurate subject capture.

The camera offers a top ISO sensitivity of 1.6 million, providing image capture in low-light situations and achieving excellent descriptive power across the entire sensitivity range. Multi-dimensional image space filtering reduces noise while leaving fine contours, maximizing the resolution performance and reproducing the texture and details of the subject.

Equipped with the PENTAX SR II, the K-3 Mark III provides up to 5.5-Shutter-Step image stabilization on 5-Axis for blur-free images when using telephoto lenses or in challenging low-light conditions. The Pentax Shake Reduction Mechanism is compatible with every Pentax lens ever manufactured and is also used for other photo applications such as Pixel Shift Resolution, AstroTracer, HDR, Image Composition, and AA-Filter Simulator.

To ensure a rugged, durable, and dependable camera that can be used in the harshest environments, the entire chassis of the K-3 Mark III is built with high-strength, lightweight magnesium alloy, and 95 seals are applied to the body to prevent the intrusion of dust and water.

The high-resolution touch screen LCD allows for faster engagement with the camera's menu system for image and operational customization. The touch LCD also provides improved image review capabilities, as well as swipe and pinch functionality between and within images. Dual SD card slots allow for simultaneous capture as well as customized image placement, with Slot 1 being compatible with UHS-II cards for high-speed read/write and image copying.
